In 2015 an initiative, supported by Visit Scotland and the Highlands & Islands Enterprise, was launched to attract more people to the North Highlands.. This took the form of a road trip called the North Coast 500. Mike has visited areas along the route for many years and discovered some interesting plants in out-of-the way places. In this talk he will show us those plants and surprise us with other unexpected findings like the diminutive and exquisite Scottish native, Primula scotica, which is found nowhere else in the world.
